Love in the Light of Cinema ScreenA Poem by Lewis Davis-NormanNot quite finished yet, but I thought I'd treat you all anyway!
The old cinema hums with Salted air, the scent of home And belonging. A shard of memory In a turbulent world.
Life gently rolls through a Rose-tinted lens, spooling out Humble histories, an age of Affection and quaint charm.
The sign hangs chipped The watermark of antique Appeal. Weathered by the rain It battles the disease of age.
In the supple moonlight of The flicker of glowing screen Two lovers immerse, absorbed By mellow cinematic glimmers.
Their lives reeling out romance and hypnotised by diamond pixels They marvel upon distant worlds Where reality is impossible. © 2013 Lewis Davis-NormanReviews
