Meditate

Meditate

A Poem by Lewis Davis-Norman
"

Something different from me. Possibly my deepest yet. Hope you like it!

"

Rhythmically, the mind will break

With waves of calm upon the beach

Of life. A Goldcrest of serenity

Flutters out of its womb with grace.

Let’s meditate.

Lower your arms for a lifetime

And you can ride the crests of calm

The gift of sight can be abused

By those who seek a world of greed

Let’s meditate.

Life is forever, yet too short

To damage what we have, spreading

Evil from our poison tongues

So close your eyes and pulsate peace.

Meditate with me.

L ewis,

I'm all in: I'm ready to meditate.

I love your poem and it's profound message. And the blue font adds to the refreshing message.

Thank you for waking me up to the fact that meditation is good medicine. I desire to close my eyes and pulsate peace.

Great job.

Sincerely, Cecil

I also liked the Rhythem and flow of thus piece; it had a meditative effect in and if itself. I liked how you used repetition to emphasize the importance of meditation. I think those three repeated lines really provided a nice juxtaposition with the works and all if its distractions. Time for meditation!

This is a great read, with the calming flowing rhythm and beautiful language. Reading it out loud actually makes me feel like falling into a trance. Well done!
