Potters Field Fairy Dust

Potters Field Fairy Dust

A Poem by Lucinda Bogart

Destiny awaits the fate of captive love
Hesitation heavy in the wake of angel wings
Watered Dionysian
Flowers
Flounder in riverbeds long since dry
Jagged rock
Rambles
Thorny nights
Plight the dawn
Dusk
Sunrise
Sunset
Endless night
Gone
Done
Potters field fairy dust
Shadows
Stirred
Wicked winded brittle air
Harsh light
Night

The imagery here was tinglingly twisted turning thoughts towards scenes of sweet serenity. Giving yourself to faith and the fate that awaits the heart where desire is pure. I love the title and the idea that the line placed into my head. making me think about the butterfly effect. One action causing a chain reaction that leads to the involvement of life becoming something new and different.

Great Job!!!!!

Lovely. I especially admire the first line.
A message of anti-hope. Someone finally conceding that love is lost and will not return and life will not be as before. The single word Night at the end suggests calm, acceptance, and finality.

Check notes.

This was a very enjoyable read. The form was great and you put a great deal into creating a scene with your words. This is one of my all time favorites.
