Letters of Intent

Letters of Intent

A Poem by Lucinda Bogart

I read the letters of intent

In between the lines you spent
Selling me your voracious lies
When with certainty you deserve to die
For the outrageous destruction you wrought on me
And the others you so solemnly
Put to death with just a whim
Time and time and time again

Hmm...

these lines,

"In between the lines you spent
Selling me your voracious lies",

were very imaginative.

I enjoyed this write - even though it was short,
it was well written - and I like that.

This person must have hurt you intently, no?
I sympathize your pain - for the greatness of such a heartache should not be
spent alone.

My Best,

I have missed your words my friend. I am glad I got time to stop by and read. This is a very strong piece as all of your work is. It paints a vivid scene and allows the reader to fill in the blanks with peronal feeling. very well done as always.

P.s: I am posting new work tonight, sorry it did not come yesterday...

This is very deep. Left me thinking and reflecting in a way that I am not sure others could appreciate. I felt the pain and woe of the words. But at the same time in the same breath even I felt the power of conviction of a powerful person realizing that the path in which they find themselves is something they have the power to change and no longer have to play the part of the victim and can and well survive the cruelty of the relationship but by leaving have learned the importances of their inner strength.

Great Job!!!!!!

Very nice! I like the flow. It was easy to read but the whole poem had a strong meaning. Very strong depth. I like this.
