Suicide Note

Suicide Note

A Poem by Lucinda Bogart

From the looks of things

You probably know
This is my last dispatch

Well

This side of hell

Sorry for the smudges
One last mess I failed to fix
But don’t worry about this
I’ll be back
No worries ‘bout that

If I don't win the suicide contest with this submission I just don't know what I'm going to do....No pressure or anything on anybody....I'm sure I'll be fine...and forgive this bit of tongue in cheek irony...such a serious subject...I don't know how else to be....

As do I. The irony is fine, nothing wrong with that. You once again show that you can put a large amount of meaning into a shorter piece. The experience of it seems very really and touches the reader deeply.

I wish you tons of luck with you contest I think this was very interesting and original in the process of making me think wow that could be so real it is scary. Such words would leave any that read this wondering about the possibilities of the truthfulness of it.

Suicide contest? Just the title of that gives me chills. I hope you win/won...as I reading this I was like, "boy I hope this isn't for real." So if that means anything you're a winner. :)
