Where Did I Go Lost

Where Did I Go Lost

A Poem by Lucinda Bogart

Untouched by scars

You wish
You hope
But who alone gets there
No fair
I’m scared
Wondering how this happened
Where did I go lost
How much does it cost
To get there from here
Where were you
When
I thought you were
My friend

Very personal feeling piece of writing. But I am left to ponder about so many different things.

Who is this written to. Is it truly a friend that abandoned you in an hour of need. Or could it be written to yourself feeling that you abandoned yourself when you felt you had to trust in the person you thought you were but found that you were not strong enough to endure the trial that you found you put yourself in. Or not have the will power to say no when you need to the most.

I'd like to think that it is a a piece that is written personal for you but left for it to impact whomever should read it the way they need it to in which I am in awe with the purity of capturing the power of giving something for a reader in self reflect upon and see where it takes them in their own mind.

Well DOne!!!!!

This is good. It says so much in just a few lines. I could feel the emotions as I read the poem! Well written!

very insightful as we are often faced with the reality that individuals we considered to be or friends have their own agendas.

Are they truly friends if they are not there when you need them most? I feel that is the question asked by this poem. Friends are supposed to support friends and banish fear, not create more.
Wonderfully writen! :)

This is a thought provoking work. I like the way you juxtaposed the idea of being lost with losing a friend. It is a new emotional landscape in which you need to find your way differently from before. Well done.
