Art is no exception

Art is no exception

A Poem by Lotus Allgoode
"

A description of a poem defeats the purpose of poetry.

"
It is the scum of the Earth,
the filthiest dregs of society,
that inspire us most.
They inspire in their desperation.
Our pity drives us to,
not help,
but admire.
We admire their will to live
that is so much greater than our own.
Their ability to survive
in the most crude conditions
inspires art.
Because true art
best exemplifies
the worst parts of life.
This is the only part of life
that we humans care to hear of.

The most (negatively) influential person that this poem refers to @ this time would be Donald Trump.
