The crew is amazed by the unusual shape of Planet Mekarth, which looks like a stretched oval fruit-loop ring.
LIEUTENANT NINHUN RILEL What a unique world, why is it
shaped like that?
LIEUTENANT SAAVIK It’s the planet’s close proximity
to a black hole, the gravitational forces shaped it.
LIEUTENANT NINHUN RILEL Incredible.
ENSIGN DEMORA SULU Scanners cannot penetrate the
ionosphere sir, there appears to be strong magnetic interference.
CAPTAIN JOHN HARRIMAN What’s the atmosphere like science
officer?
CHIEF SCIENCE OFFICER ROBERTA VASQUEZ It’s class M but the magnetic
interference is causing extreme weather patterns.
CAPTAIN JOHN HARRIMAN Is it safe to use transporters?
CHIEF SCIENCE OFFICER ROBERTA VASQUEZ Transporters should work down there
captain.
CAPTAIN JOHN HARRIMAN Very interesting, Commander Sorenson what do you think?
COMMANDER SORENSON I’ve felt something very unusual
since we arrived, very alien nothing like I’ve sensed before.
COMMANDER SORENSON I think we need a closer look.
CAPTAIN JOHN HARRIMAN Agreed, plan an away mission, let’s
find out what happened to those colonists.
EXT. PLANET MEKARTH - DAY
Three female Starfleet officers materialize in the middle of a desolate city.
CHIEF SCIENCE OFFICER ROBERTA VASQUEZ Tricorders not picking up any
biological life readings but...
LIEUTENANT SAAVIK What is it?
CHIEF SCIENCE OFFICER ROBERTA VASQUEZ I’m reading non-biological life,
ten meters ahead, extremely acidic in it’s composition.
The tricorder leads them to a dead facehugger. Lieutenant Saavik touches her communicator insignia.
LIEUTENANT SAAVIK
Captain?
INT. BRIDGE (INTERCUT AS NEEDED)

CHIEF SCIENCE OFFICER ROBERTA VASQUEZ None of them do.
CHIEF SCIENCE OFFICER ROBERTA VASQUEZ
Oh my!
COMMANDER SORENSON What is it?
CHIEF SCIENCE OFFICER ROBERTA VASQUEZ These aliens have acid for blood as
a defense mechanism.
COMMANDER SORENSON That’s good to know.
LIEUTENANT SAAVIK Where did these Xenomorphs come
from?
CHIEF SCIENCE OFFICER ROBERTA VASQUEZ They were found by colonial miners
while digging for dilithium crystals.

CHIEF SCIENCE OFFICER ROBERTA VASQUEZ The hosts died shortly after
removal.
LIEUTENANT SAAVIK Why didn’t they notify the
Federation of their discovery?
COMMANDER SORENSON Because they were secretly studying
them.
CHIEF SCIENCE OFFICER ROBERTA VASQUEZ The medical applications from an
organism like this are endless.

INT. GESTATION CHAMBER
LIEUTENANT SAAVIK These hosts were cloned, looks like
they used this chamber to grow them.
COMMANDER SORENSON They only cloned the upper torso.
LIEUTENANT SAAVIK It seems it was more cost effective
for them.
The two Starfleet officers approach four holding cells. In one of them a caged snake-like Xenomorph stares at them.
COMMANDER SORENSON It looks like they were cross
breading them with other alien species.
LIEUTENANT SAAVIK This one was bred from a Gorn.

of the the three. The fourth cage has the lights off.
COMMANDER SORENSON What’s that sound, it sounds like
chains.
Lieutenant Saavik turns on the lights revealing a spiky Xenomorph with ridges on it’s head!

COMMANDER SORENSON Looks like our luck is changing for
the better lets get in it. Sorenson and Saavik climb into the vehicle.
LIEUTENANT SAAVIK I think we may have to quarantine
this world.
COMMANDER SORENSON Whatever these things are we can’t
let them spread to other Federations worlds.
A sound captures there attention. Saavik pulls out her tricorder.
LIEUTENANT SAAVIK There’s eight of those parasites in
this garage. A facehugger crashes into the windshield.

INT. OBSERVATION LOUNGE
Captain Harriman is seated talking with Starfleet Admiral Pavel Chekov via view screen.
CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER CHRISTINE CHAPEL What are these creatures exactly?
STARFLEET ADMIRAL CHEKOV We call them Xenomorph because they
have the ability to reproduce with any living organism by parasitic infection.
STARFLEET ADMIRAL CHEKOV Captain it is imperative that this
species doesn’t reach any more populated worlds.
CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER CHRISTINE CHAPEL Is someone deliberately spreading
these creatures throughout the federation?
STARFLEET ADMIRAL CHEKOV We’re still investigating.
STARFLEET ADMIRAL CHEKOV Do whatever you must to halt this.

Aye sir.
CAPTAIN JOHN HARRIMAN We just found out Lieutenant Saavik
and commander sorenson are in a vehicle headed toward a dilithium mine, we don’t have communications with them.
LIEUTENANT XAMAR That’s quite an unusual breach in
protocol, they must have a good reason for it.
CAPTAIN JOHN HARRIMAN If I know Commander Sorenson she
had a good reason, how’s the weather down there?
ENSIGN DEMORA SULU The storm is unlike anything in the
federation database.
CAPTAIN JOHN HARRIMAN I want to establish communication
with them as soon as possible.
CAPTAIN JOHN HARRIMAN Lieutenant Xamar how’s the shuttle
prep going?
LIEUTENANT XAMAR The magnetic storm is making it
difficult.
CAPTAIN JOHN HARRIMAN I want to get our crew back to the
ship and retrieve Vasquez’s body.
CAPTAIN JOHN HARRIMAN Ensign Sulu what do you think?
ENSIGN DEMORA SULU If we modify our shuttle with a
polarized hull shielding it should make flying down to the planet a little safer.
CAPTAIN JOHN HARRIMAN I know you were the top shuttle
pilot in the academy, is that correct?
ENSIGN DEMORA SULU Yes captain I was.
CAPTAIN JOHN HARRIMAN Good Ensign get with Lieutenant Ch’terr and help him modify the
shuttle any questions?
CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER CHRISTINE CHAPEL One question Captain.
CAPTAIN JOHN HARRIMAN Go ahead Christine.
CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER CHRISTINE CHAPEL As starfleet officers aren’t we out
here to seek out new life forms?
CAPTAIN JOHN HARRIMAN I was thinking about that too.
CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER CHRISTINE CHAPEL Is it right for us to destroy an
alien race we don’t understand?
CAPTAIN JOHN HARRIMAN Unfortunately our orders stand, we
must place the safety of the Federation as our highest priority.
CAPTAIN JOHN HARRIMAN Any more questions?
Silence from the senior officers. CAPTAIN JOHN HARRIMAN
Dismissed.
Captain Harriman is left alone and looks out at the stars in deep thought.

SECURITY CHIEF SHRITH TH’RAOLROK I checked the transporter logs and it appears someone from the planet
beamed aboard with one one of those egg pods.
CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER CHRISTINE CHAPEL Why didn’t our sensors detect them?
LIEUTENANT NINHUN RILEL They have more advance technology that somehow evaded our scanners.
The lights on in the lounge begin to flicker, Demora Sulu contacts Captain Harriman over the Enterprise PA system.
ENSIGN DEMORA SULU Captain your needed on the bridge.
INT. BRIDGE
CAPTAIN JOHN HARRIMAN What’s going on?
ENSIGN DEMORA SULU We’ve lost all contact on deck ten.
LIEUTENANT XAMAR That’s engineering.
CAPTAIN JOHN HARRIMAN Take us out of warp.
The Enterprise drops out of warp.
ENSIGN DEMORA SULU I’m getting reports of Xenomorph
attacks on that deck.
CAPTAIN JOHN HARRIMAN Go to red alert.
CAPTAIN JOHN HARRIMAN Lieutenant Rilel patch me through
to the ship’s intercom system.
CAPTAIN JOHN HARRIMAN This is the Captain I need all non
security personnel to stop what you’re doing and lock down until further notice, all security Harriman out. personal meet me at deck ten
All starfleet officers on board the Enterprise grab weapons and suit up.
INT. ENTERPRISE CORRIDORS DECK TEN
A group of officers are waiting to enter deck ten everyone has a phaser rifle.
LIEUTENANT CAGNEY Set all weapons to kill.
SECURITY CHIEF SHRITH TH’RAOLROK How man officers are in this
section?
LIEUTENANT CAGNEY There are at least thirty-four sir.
SECURITY CHIEF SHRITH TH’RAOLROK Captain as security chief I must
point out that if anything happens to you it may further jeopardize the safety of the ship.
CAPTAIN JOHN HARRIMAN Understood but I need to understand what we’re dealing with first hand.
SECURITY CHIEF SHRITH TH’RAOLROK
Aye sir.
INT. ENTERPRISE CORRIDORS DECK TEN
CAPTAIN JOHN HARRIMAN Open the doors and seal it off
after we enter. LIEUTENANT SMILEY
Aye sir.
Captain Harriman and the officers enter the deck ten. They immediately see a starfleet officer with a facehugger attached to him.
LIEUTENANT RICKI MAXWILL I’ve never seen anything like this
his body is in total state of paralysis. The creature seems to be breathing for him.
CAPTAIN JOHN HARRIMAN Yeah this is how these things
reproduce.
LIEUTENANT CAGNEY How does it come out?
CAPTAIN JOHN HARRIMAN From his chest.
LIEUTENANT XAMAR Look at this.
Xamar takes out his tricorder.
CAPTAIN JOHN HARRIMAN It looks like some kind of red wall
ivy.
LIEUTENANT RICKI MAXWILL Growing along steal walls how is
that possible?
LIEUTENANT XAMAR I’m no exobiologist but if these
facehuggers can adapt humanoid DNA to create these Xenomorphs it’s not a stretch to figure out their nests are living as well.
LIEUTENANT CAGNEY It looks like this ivy originated
from the crew quarters down the hall.
The officers cautiously approach the entrance.
SECURITY CHIEF SHRITH TH’RAOLROK Computer open crew quarters
2456-Beta command authorization Th’raolrok override.
ENTERPRISE COMPUTER Command acknowledged.
INT. ENTERPRISE CREW QUARTERS ROOM 2456 B
The door open revealing a grisly scene. Five starfleet officers are dead on the floor with their chests ripped open, in each of their hands is a strange piece of religious jewelery.
CAPTAIN JOHN HARRIMAN What the hell was going on in here?
SECURITY CHIEF SHRITH TH’RAOLROK It looks like some kind of
ritualistic suicide.
Captain Harriman grabs the religious jewelery from the dead officers hand.
CAPTAIN JOHN HARRIMAN I’ve never seen this religion
before.
LIEUTENANT XAMAR Did they bring these creatures
aboard?
CAPTAIN JOHN HARRIMAN That’s a question for another time
let’s keep moving.
LIEUTENANT RICKI MAXWILL My tricorder is picking up movement
in main engineering.
INT. ENTERPRISE CORRIDORS DECK TEN The group cautiously approach main engineering.
LIEUTENANT CAGNEY Sensors must be offline I’ll open
the doors manually.
INT. MAIN ENGINEERING
Cagney opens the door revealing a more macabre scene. All the officers in main engineering are found cocooned with their chests ripped open. The sounds of agony can be heard around the corner.
LIEUTENANT XAMAR These creatures must be attracted
to our warp core.
LIEUTENANT CAGNEY It must be the dilithum.
CAPTAIN JOHN HARRIMAN Like moth to a flame.
CAPTAIN JOHN HARRIMAN Secure the warp core, we’ll
investigate whatever is around the corner.
SECURITY CHIEF SHRITH TH’RAOLROK
Aye sir.
Captain Harriman and his crew cautiously come around the corner to find an even more disturbing scene than the last.
The officers find a screaming bloated woman cocooned to the wall forced to give birth to fully grown Xenomorphs. The woman’s legs are gaped open as the creatures drop out of her with an eerie thud.
LIEUTENANT RICKI MAXWILL Is that thing one of our officers?
A hungry inner mouth shoots out of the bloated creatures vagina, latches onto Captain John Harriman’s throat.
LIEUTENANT CAGNEY
Open fire!
The men kill the creature, lieutenant Ricki Maxwill kneels before the dying captain to hear his last words.
CAPTAIN JOHN HARRIMAN
Survive.
Captain Harriman dies. Lieutenant Ricki Maxwill taps his insignia communicator.
INT. BRIDGE (INTERCUT AS NEEDED)
LIEUTENANT RICKI MAXWILL Lieutenant Ricki Maxwill to the
bridge. Go head. Captain Harriman is dead.
The revelation spreads through the bridge like an atomic bomb.
INT. BRIDGE
LIEUTENANT NINHUN RILEL According to the Starfleet order of
secession, Chief Medical Officer Christine Chapel is now the Captain.
Everyone on the bridge looks at Christine Chapel waiting for orders. Off-put by the sudden responsibility put on her Chapel graciously moves to the command chair.
CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER CHRISTINE CHAPEL This is acting Captain Christine
Chapel, I’m ordering all officers on deck ten to withdraw and await further orders.
INT. MAIN ENGINEERING LIEUTENANT RICKI MAXWILL
Aye sir.
INT. ENTERPRISE CORRIDORS DECK TEN
The officers withdraw and seal off deck ten. Xamar begins to notice the red ivy spreading to more parts of the ship.
INT. OBSERVATION LOUNGE
Captain Chapel and the senior officers are seated at the table trying to figure their next move.
CAPTAIN CHAPEL A moment of silence for our dearly
departed captain. Momentary silence.
CAPTAIN CHAPEL What do you think we should do?
SECURITY CHIEF SHRITH TH’RAOLROK I vote we use mutagenic
weapons. They break down life at the cellular level it may be effective.
LIEUTENANT NINHUN RILEL We should beam a Xenomorph into a
holding cell and see what kills it.
ENSIGN DEMORA SULU What about first contact? Are we
violating the principles of the Prime Directive?
CAPTAIN CHAPEL In what way?
ENSIGN DEMORA SULU In Starfleet Academy I studied
James Kirk’s missions. The first Enterprise encountered the from on Janus VI. Horta. It’s a silicon based life
ENSIGN DEMORA SULU The Enterprise was originally sent there to investigate the deaths of
two miners.
ENSIGN DEMORA SULU During Kirk’s investigation it was
revealed the Horta was merely protecting it’s offspring.
CAPTAIN CHAPEL Sulu’s right let’s not judge the
Xenomorph at face value sure it’s extremely dangerous and don’t want to loose any more crew to these creatures but let’s not forget what we’re out here for.
CAPTAIN CHAPEL Mister TH’RAOLROK get started on
those mutagenic weapons. Lieutenant Rilel start developing a holding cell.
INT. ENTERPRISE SICK BAY
Engineering crew are installing mutagenic canisters into a containment cell.
LIEUTENANT XAMAR All systems are ready.
LIEUTENANT CAGNEY I’ve locked onto a Xenormorph.
The captain nods. Lieutenant Cagney engages the transporter and a six foot tall Xenomorph materializes in the holding cell angry-surprised and immediately attacking it’s cell.
SECURITY CHIEF SHRITH TH’RAOLROK The cell is holding captain.
The Xenomorph makes a futile attempt to ram the cell to no effect.
CAPTAIN CHAPEL Good, engage the universal
translator.
LIEUTENANT NINHUN RILEL The translator is having trouble
finding understanding it’s language.
LIEUTENANT CAGNEY Maybe they communicate via
pheromones?
NURSE EYLEENE My tricorder indicates they are
hive minded. This creature is merely a drone.
Nurse Elyeene notices something interesting.
NURSE EYLEENE Captain these creatures did not
evolve, they were bio engineered.
CAPTAIN CHAPEL Are these creatures some type of
biological weapon?
NURSE EYLEENE It’s possible.
The Xenomorph chews off a finger and uses the acid to try to burn through the cage.
CAPTAIN CHAPEL Begin the test.
SECURITY CHIEF SHRITH TH’RAOLROK
Aye sir.
The gas floods the camber causing the alien to suffer an agonizing death.
LIEUTENANT CAGNEY It looks like mutagenic weapons are
effective.
INT. MAIN ENGINEERING
The crew set up a mutagenic weapon and notices a strange noise, the officer notices one of his crew mates embedded in the wall, covered by red ivy.
STARFLEET OFFICER Help me... kill me...
LIEUTENANT RICKI MAXWILL
My god!
SECURITY CHIEF SHRITH TH’RAOLROK There nothing you can do for him.
INT. ENTERPRISE SICK BAY The overhead lights suddenly flicker.
CAPTAIN CHAPEL Captain to bridge what’s going on?
EXT. SPACE - THE USS ENTERPRISE (OPTICAL)
The Excelsior-class Starship USS Enterprise NCC-1701-B is covered with red ivy that spreads and consumes the nacelle engines and the main deflector dish.
INT. BRIDGE (INTERCUT AS NEEDED)
ENSIGN DEMORA SULU The aliens have tapped into the
main power systems... Captain... Uh...
CAPTAIN CHAPEL Go ahead ensign!
ENSIGN DEMORA SULU The mysterious ivy on deck ten has
spread throughout the ship sir.
CAPTAIN CHAPEL What is it doing?
ENSIGN DEMORA SULU It’s engulfing the ship and
assimilating the crew.
ENSIGN DEMORA SULU It’ll consume the entire Enterprise
in less than an hour captain.
ENSIGN DEMORA SULU The main computer core is offline
sir.
INT. ENTERPRISE SICK BAY The captain is monitoring the spread of these creatures.
CAPTAIN CHAPEL These vines are Nero pathways.
NURSE EYLEENE Are you saying that these aliens
are using the Enterprise to create a hive?
CAPTAIN CHAPEL Absolutely, a hive mind.
NURSE EYLEENE If that’s the case then the
Xenomorph drones are one part of a larger organism.
CAPTAIN CHAPEL Mister Th’raolork what do you know
about those five dead officers that were found inside room 2456B?
SECURITY CHIEF SHRITH TH’RAOLROK Our investigative security team has
found that they had ties to the Mekarth colony.
CAPTAIN CHAPEL And what of the religious jewelery
we found?
SECURITY CHIEF SHRITH TH’RAOLROK It’s from a cult know as The Chosen
One’s of Olabinis. The captain takes a moment to think.
CAPTAIN CHAPEL How many of the crew have been
assimilated by these aliens?
SECURITY CHIEF SHRITH TH’RAOLROK Over eighty-seven percent of the
crew sir.
CAPTAIN CHAPEL Contact starfleet and tell them
we’re going to abandon ship. LIEUTENANT NINHUN RILEL
Captain?
CAPTAIN CHAPEL You heard me we’re going to abandon
ship!
The Orion-class Starship USS Homefront NCC-5498 arrive to assist the Enterprise B.
INT. USS HOMEFRONT BRIDGE Christine Chapel is looking at the Enterprise.
CAPTAIN CHAPEL (V.O.) Acting Captain’s log stardate
45782.9. This is the last log of the starship Enterprise. As captain I decided to abandon ship and allow this life form to explore it’s on own existence.
INT. ENTERPRISE CORRIDORS An egg pod opens underneath a cocooned Starfleet officer.
INT. USS HOMEFRONT BRIDGE
CAPTAIN CHAPEL (V.O.) I am aware that Starfleet may not
be thrilled at the lost of their starship but I feel it’s a small price to pay.
INT. ENTERPRISE CORRIDORS
A facehugger latches onto the Starfleet officer’s terrified face.
INT. USS HOMEFRONT BRIDGE
CAPTAIN CHAPEL (V.O.) As explorers we seek out new worlds
and new civilizations, we cannot annihilate a species that redefine our ideas of what we consider to be alien.
EXT. SPACE - THE USS HOMEFRONT (OPTICAL) The USS Homefront jumps into warp speed.
