A blue dream

A blue dream

A Poem by EL LAO

A sultry beauty deep in thought

Decisions that zoom thorough her mind

Never understanding what is to become of her

A melancholic tone enters her face

A distressed princess not asking for help

Stronger than the chair I sit upon

Oh how much do I wish thee to come to me

A knight I shall be for ye

But her strength keeps her standing

She takes a break and looks up

Not knowing I was staring,

I keep my eyes locked on her

Never do I wish to let her from my sight

She stands and walks in my direction

Crosses my path and leans next to my ear

Pauses there and doesn’t do anything else

Walks away, stunned without a word to utter, I am left

I wake up thinking how I wish you were real

The blue princess of my dream
