We found each other, at the right time?

Loneliness was taking control

We thought that we were meant to be

 

Soul mates who were destined to meet

The end of the red string of fate, we have found

The two pieces that make a whole

 

An illusion that we wanted to be real

Knowing, it was only an illusion

Two wounded souls that ache for more

 

We licked each other’s wounds knowing they would never close

We strive and fought to make it real

We never gave up but this was unamendable

 

A song of sadness echoes in the background

A choir sing that we are miserable

A note that only matches the tone of our loneliness

 

We loved so hard and strong

Dear god, we tried and yet we stand defeated

Love was never meant to be, no matter how much we prayed

 

A love that only wanted love, not each other

And I do love you but not with true love

For I only love to love and it doesn’t need to be you
