A lottery I never won

A lottery I never won

A Poem by EL LAO

Feelings that have a texture

Dreams with so many laws

Diving deeper into a hole with no escape

Looking up, in taking sights not mine

Breathing oxygen not meant for me

Felling trapped and free

With no escape and opened doors everywhere

Saying please and thank you, with a knife behind my back

Dying yet feeling so alive

Averting my gaze to check my pulse

Am I me, or have I become someone else

Eyes that are so big, never peering away

A world on top of me

So light and still I am bring crushed

Walking a path I never took a step on

You never leave me, like the heart in my chest

However I am still alone

Equality has died, or was never alive

For what is mine is yours and yours, yours

Look at me for I will never be blind

Eyes that have never seen anything in front of them

A sound that have never touched my ears

Your smile is fools golden

Yet I’m running towards it with no second thought

Tricked and knowing it so proudly

Yet here I am asking for your hand

So who is rich?
