My Bikini Days Are Over

My Bikini Days Are Over

A Poem by LA Lorena
"

My traditional Saturday morning bit of fluff and nonsense. Re-posting for motivation for my upcoming trip to Mexico.

"

Looking in my full length mirror,

bikini days are done I fear

What once were proud, hang too low

and cellulite now steals the show

My glory days have come to pass

too much bounce and too much a*s

Gravity is not my friend

I now fall out when stooped to bend

It's not as bad as in my mind

but to myself, I'm seldom kind

I'm not twentyfive and should be proud

I should strut my stuff, it's allowed

Insecurities I must face

I'll wear the suit and OWN the place!

Down to the beach in skimpy suit

I'll sashay and leave them mute

into the water I'll dive with ease

(I really am a horrid tease)

Freedom is mine, I shall not care

what you think of what I wear!

I can wear a two-piece, yes I can

and still turn heads on any man

Confidence brims, hear me roar

bikini days are here once more!

back to the shore I boldly walk

amidst those eyes and all that talk

now what is this? what's the trouble?

I look down, it bursts my bubble

a quiet hush now, I wish there weren't

bikini swept off by ocean current

My bikini days are over.....

Yes'm, you ARE a horrid tease, and you LOVE it, too!
Your line re: turning heads...that's two per guy, I'm thinking?
Check out my "Bicerebrate", if you would.
As to which age of woman is superior, I'll certainly prefer a little fluffy for my stuffy, as opposed to rib-counting, chest-puncturing tautness...but that's me! Guys?

How clever your ending, brave to stand tall, then you lose it all............
too much bounce and too much a*s?? :)

These words keep bouncing in my head, lol, well penned!

Delightfully poetic; amazing even. Your skill at rhyming is unsurpassed so far as I have seen. My own bikini days having ended long ago I can certainly relate to the malaise that threatens to caste a shadow over beach interplay when stuff is going where it shouldn't be going. Actually though I've witnessed a number of pre-25'ers having stuff go where it shouldn't be going.

Excellent poem! Truly a statement incorporating humor, tongue-in-cheek distress and poetic injustice.
