Caliente

Caliente

A Poem by LA Lorena

We danced salsa and drowned our inhibitions

in tequila and passion

my Spanish limited, his English halting

smiles and bold glances

paved a road that words couldn't

smoldering looks and brazen touch

spoke more clearly than any words ever could

language barrier breached, we spoke in tongues

a universal language

of breathless, wanton, panting whispers and sighs

two hearts in tune to music's fiery tempo

and bodies playing a staccato rythym

to their final crescendo

Your dance moves so passionately... powerfully building as your minds and bodies move to that crescendo. This is that sweet, spicy moment when the world melts away and all that is left is euphoria. No words can possibly express this... only sighs. xo

You don't need to speak the same language to dance like that huh? Or were you? Hm

They say that travel broadens the mind it also inspires the writing. Who had a good time then?

I had a great time, just not as great as this poem implies. Imagination is a beautiful thing! ;)
