There

There

A Poem by LA Lorena

I'll not let on

I carry on composed.  stoic

my surface granite encrusted

memories live, breathe, feel

eyes dead hollow

long since drowned in depths of earthy brown

I walk a different ocean's shores

yet those breezes ever carry

the co-mingled and lingering scent of love

Chanel Sensuelle Allure and heady musk

odor settles like cumulus

permeating every pore

infused with every ragged breath

Inhale.  I take you in.

you enter and seek solace in my depths

Air electric.  atoms charged

every nerve and fibre at attention

you fill me

I see you everywhere

strain for that touch

No matter the time, space, or distance between

drawn and written lines and words of past and present

I ache, yearn, hunger

close my eyes to truth.  Exhale

I still feel you...

   There

Those damn stoic masks of stone that we choose to wear do little to hide the frail fragments of what lies behind our eyes. In the place of the aching, those feelings of hunger devour any sense of peace for what was. I hope this comes from your brilliant imagination, sweet poet, and not from biography.

These descriptions are poignant, full and rich. I feel all the feeling and sense the pain of passion the lover feels in want for the other. Lovely write dear.

Thank you Revery. It was a special write for me. :)
this is so beautiful Lorena, and has more depth than anything else by you that i have yet seen. i am profoundly impressed that this goes way below the surface and really touches where touching truly has an impact. this impacts me ...few writes on here do.

A very powerful piece. I've been there....walking that fine line between what my reality is and what I would prefer my reality to become. It's an ache that can be dulled, but never erased.

Nice write.

thank you Kelsey, I'm glad you liked it.
A poem of yours is like a breath of fresh air for me, I feel far more mature when reading a Lorena than most of the time when I'm writing an Annabelle. When reading you, I'm overcome with an utmost calm and composure and the silliness of my teenage years just falls away. I really enjoyed growing up a bit while reading. Bravo

This is a record of loss. Makes the reader wonder before we see the skill that trancends the sorrow. Excellent. Something I feel all can empathise with.

This is like a colossal love, describing so much with such authenticity and emotion. Take's us all back to this place where you've experienced something so intimate and passionate that it makes me feel humbled that you would share it with us. I only hope that I feel this someday :) amazing Lorena .. truly amazing
