Dead People

Dead People

A Poem by Brandon Langley

See these eyes, so red?
I can cry for a thousand years,
Rage hotter than the sun.

See these men, so dead?
Brothers come and brothers go,
Bullets fire and sail on past.

See these tears, so dry?
You've clipped us with your shears,
Please, not another one.

See these eyes so white?
I won't die for a thousand years,
Life's colder than the moon.
