I have recently begun reading the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and have stumbled upon an entry quoted from the Guide about Babel Fish, which is a small fish that, when inserted into your ear, can, in layman's terms, translate for you. The entry also notes a theory that this fish, due to its immense usefulness, it is fairly improbable that such a creature could have evolved on its own, causing many to believe that some form of creator was at work behind this magnificent beast. This is the same reason that many believe this proves the nonexistence of god. To quote the Guide, "The argument goes something like this: 'I refuse to prove that I exist,' says god, 'for proof denies faith, and without faith, I am nothing.' 'But,' says Man, 'the  Babel fish is a dead giveaway, isn't it? It could not have evolved by chance. It proves you exist, and so therefore, by your own arguments, you don't. QED' 'Oh dear,' says god, 'I hadn't thought of that,' and promptly vanishes in a puff of logic." In layman's terms, this means that because god, in the bible, has stated that he refuses to prove that he exists, by finding anything that does prove that he exists, you are disproving god. Which is why the creationist argument of saying that anything, particularly people, were created by a deity of some sort because they are too complex to have been created by natural chance is incorrect. In summary, creationists are wrong because god said so.
