Introduction: Part 3A Chapter by Brandon LangleyAfter being told of their quest, Missouri and Ohio journey to Nazi Germany in search of the first artifact.
"I still can't believe you kissed Virginia." Ohio said to Missouri as they walked through the cold fields, the occasional windmill sparking their attention, they had been walking for hours, unsure where they were going, or what they were doing, other than searching for a "Compact Nuclear Crucible" as Vewaltung put it. "I still can't believe you punched me." Missouri said, accusingly. "Ho-lee schnitzel, Missouri, look!" Ohio said, smacking Missouri on the back and pointing to something in the sky he could not see. As Ohio ran off in the direction he was pointing, the clouds cleared, it was a large grey, silo-like object, but without a top, and it had a strange symbol, a black circle inside a yellow circle, with three yellow rounded-triangle shapes surrounding it. Missouri followed behind Ohio, suddenly, Ohio stopped, grabbed his head, and fell to the ground. Wide-eyed, Missouri picked up the pace, sprinting now. He held Ohio in his arms, Ohio's nose bleeding, he looked at the silo, and dragged Ohio a few feet back.
Ohio sputtered and coughed, putting his hand to his head, "Head ache, I guess." Ohio said, struggling to smile. "Can you walk?" Missouri asked, genuinely concerned about his friend. "Yeah, I'm fine." He replied nervously, standing up and cautiously taking a few steps forward. As they approached the silo doors, a man in a plastic-like suit walked out, "Vhat ze hell are you doing here?" He yelled menacingly from inside his plexi-glass mask with breathing ports sticking out from the front. Ohio walked up and punched the man in the face. He fell to the floor with a thunk as the two walked past, into a room of screens and other men in plastic suits. One of them picked up a gun and pointed it at the boys. "Who sent you to spy on us!?" the interrogator said through his mask. "We're just here for your Com-pact Nuc-lear Cru-cib-le" Missouri said, trying to calm down the furious German. The man looked to another suited man, nodded, then turned back to the boys. The other man walked out, then back in a moment later. The interrogator stood from his seat and picked up the small pot-like device, "Zis is ze technology you spoke of, ze Compact Nuclear Crucible." He pulled back his arm and threw it across threw the device. Ohio reached up, grabbed it, dropped it on Missouri's lap, and stood up. He punched the interrogator in the mask, breaking it, and the other man in the stomach. Another man ran in and he was hit in the chest with a chair that had previously held Ohio captive. He turned to Missouri and untied him. "What'd I tell you? Pocket knives are always useful!" he said, smirking. By the time the alarm went off, Ohio and Missouri had already stolen the suits of the two men and stuffed the interrogator into a cabinet. They walked out, Ohio holding the interrogator's gun, into a crowded room of men in the plastic suits. "That was way too reckless back there." Missouri said to the figure next to him. "Vhat ze hell? You are not von of us! I have found zem!" the man said, raising his arm to punch Missouri, but there were several loud bangs and the man fell to the floor as the other men in the room ran to the walls. Missouri turned to see a man holding Missouri at gunpoint, "Give me ze device." The man said calmly. "What device?" Missouri said, shivering. "Ze Compact Nuclear Crucible in your pocket." The man said, pressing the gun further into Ohio's temple. Missouri was scared stiff until Ohio winked at him and shook his head. Missouri reached into his suit where he left the device, but found nothing. Ohio gave him a smirk, "He has it, the man you're holding, he has it." The man turned to see Ohio cowering in fear, "Okay, you reach in and get it." Missouri slowly walked towards Ohio and the man, reaching into Ohio's jacket pocket to find a pistol. He turned the pistol on the man through Ohio's suit, and pulled the trigger. "Now, where is the Crucible?" Missouri yelled, keeping his gun trained on the spectators. "It's on the floor, behind me." Missouri laughed as he picked up the device. As the two ran from the silo having torn off their suits after a few hundred meters of running, the scientists chasing after them, Missouri yelled at Ohio, "That was WAY too reckless, I think we would have better luck with all of these things anyway if we split up!" Ohio, having torn off his suit after a few hundred meters of running, pulled the folded up list from his shirt pocket, tore it in half, handed the other half to Missouri, and shoved the rest of the list into his pocket. Missouri jumped, opened a diamond and fell through, leaving Ohio to himself. Ohio kept running another couple hundred meters, threw his gun to the ground, having spent all of the ammo, and opened his own diamond.
