A Night in...

A Night in...

A Poem by L4rn13
"

Drink into a stupor and forget That this week was a hassle and sit and fidget...

"
Let it be said you left him instead,
Got drunk for a bunk
Strung in some other's bed.
No tears were shed just two friends in a set,
The three became two and the one is all wet.
Just don't fret.

To be left with no home to return,
Arguments leave pages burned,
Lies once told had severed the fold.
No one knows all was given,
For a place to call my own,
Lonely and thrown,
Friends were out but the phone was cold.
No tears were shed just two friends in a set,
The three became two and the one is all wet.
Just don't fret.

Drink into a stupor and forget
That this week was a hassle and sit and fidget.
No one will ask,
Don't expect such a task,
Just drag you feet on,
Forever forward to the greener grass.
No tears were shed just two friends in a set,
The three became two and the one is all wet.

A moving poem which speaks of a relationship that has floundered, or so I think anyway.
"Just drag you feet on" - should be "your".

Poem from a Poet... I shan't befuddle your mind With poems of vampires Or quadruple signs, But rather rhythmful beats. For I am a poet And express through torn seams The stories of the heart,.. more..
