You had been seen

As physically serene

Graceful and lean

Contradiction in your mien

 

You were dire and strange

Your mind an endless range

With rabid, marred fangs

Clutching all my pangs

 

But I was somewhat keen

To be part of your scene

So hideously obscene

But charming and mean

 

I took you to the lagoon

On a stormy afternoon

You cried, tightening

“Crying lightning!”

Weeeeeell, I don't know what I love about this poem more, the fact that it's one of my all-time favourite songs that inspired it, that you used some great imagery, or the chilling vividity with which you described the emotions between the two characters. My favourite would have to be the second stanza, in which the pain and admiration at the same time is most obvious. Great work, all in all.
