Fairytales

Fairytales

A Poem by Innominatam
"

A dream of a dream where one child would have.

"
Flying carpets, talking teacups
wishes and fairy dust
will it mend my broken trust?
Everything has its down and ups

Magical wands, tall towers
princes and white steeds
if good is real, then evil is a seed
‘Danger’ can fool you with the look of a flower

Poison apples, thrones bushes
fairy godmother and genie lamps
tears always falling
making my cheeks damp

Swords, and shiny glass slippers
animals talk, loving bears
humans can be unkind
why is it all lies I hear?

It’s all a child’s dream
like water that is stale
not sweet as strawberries and cream
they’re just all in books
and why they are called
a fairytale
