Wrong

Wrong

A Poem by kylie

So we were wrong.
The sun does not rise and the moon does not fall. This is a multiverse where nothingness tangles us in a confusing bundle of everything and you and I are an anomaly of physics greater than the mind can conceive. Not only are we functioning as organisms, we are doing so under the guise of art. Anything that lives is capable of creation. From the smallest cell to the complexity that is the human. Yet the tortoise does not question whether the stars were created in divinity. And I have yet to meet a tree that tips its hat to me. It is as though human thought resides in its own plane of existence. A place where the sun does rise for you every morning in the most nurturing of ways. We mustn't forget, though, that the tree is our supporting force. In its roots lies our own. And we share these amongst the gentle, most innocent of creatures from that tortoise to the killer lion. As it is art, beauty, and abstract conception where true evil lies. We are burdened in this way, more than any other creature on this planet. We are birthed to the task of exploring darkness for the insignificant time we have on this little blue dot in the expansive, reclusive, multiverse system
