Lost Thoughts...

Our Failing relationship...

Okay... so I've been stairing at this blank page all night, Lost in thoughts...

Bringing up all manners of old memories, half remembered, near forgot...

You think I could put them to paper?, or in this instance a note?

Emotion is hard to describe, I tried, and here's what I wrote...

Lost Thoughts...

Just visions... you smiling, our kids, our fights, reconciliations, and loss.

From make-up's to break-up's, all those lonely mornings I wake up.

Colour my soul,.. embossed.

I could relive a year in a heartbeat... our lifetime together in a day.

I cherish these memories like diamonds, and yet wish I could wish them away.

I give some thoughts to the future,.. Like, how this might possibly turn out.

And ask myself an unbearable question, I'm I better off with you?.. or without?

Perhaps I am being too selfish, darkly cynical and overly self-critical.

But try as I might, to bury these thoughts, they eat at me from the subliminal.

What am I feeling right now... Anxiety, heart-break, failure and trying hard not to give up.

But is the glass half full?.. or half empty?.. Doesn't matter, we smashed the damned cup.
