Losing my grip

Losing my grip

A Poem by Kaelyn Shea

the words he said were simple
but they were so very sharp
they cut me deep down
they sliced like a knife into me

Im falling in love, he said
i just smiled and told him
i was happy for him, in
truth he deserves to

he deserves to fall for
someone and love them
with everything he has
and give them everything

but i dont want that person
the one hes gives his heart to
to be her, shell break him
i dont want to see him hurt

and when i tell him that
i love him and always have
he just laughs smiles and says
hell always love me too

but he loves me in a
different way than i
love him and he always
has and always will

ive know this for as long
as ive known him so why
am im breaking down and
suddenly losing my grip?

Dear Izzy, you gotta slow down, flyin like a bullet. Take a little time, a sip of tea. So many great things going on out there.

Cute - it can be really hard wanting someone you can't have. Nice work with this.
