Yolo

Yolo

A Poem by SouthernBelle

People say

partying all the time is YOLO

that's not YOLO

that's living a care-free life

Army men and women

fighting for their lives

in the middle of Iraq

is YOLO

They are risking their life

to protect ours

that's YOLO

and I respect that

It makes me so mad

hearing people say

"big party this weekend YOLO"!

I want to punch them in the face

I want them to

take 10 minutes and think

about all the men and women

serving our country

People lose their life everyday

protecting their families and US

So if you say YOLO at a party

think is that really YOLO

If you get pregnant

is that YOLO?

NO!

fighting for our country losing your life keeping 3,000 million people in the United States safe!

THAT IS F*****G YOLO!!!!!!

I guess I'm old now because I have never heard of the word "YOLO." Do people still say 'Krunk?' What about 'ill?' 'Chill?' Is 'Word' still on the table?

It's good to see a young person who respects the sacrifices made by brave men and women in the armed forces. Far braver men than I. Far too often overlooked.

I agree with the ending. Nice flow of thoughts and I like the logic of the poem. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

There's alot to commend on your thought process.

I won't say alot on this subject. But I get what you're poking at! And very admirable!

Anytime:)
You are right kimberly.
yolo, yolo . Those who really believe in God and have love for others wont say that word. It is so immature to say YOLO.
