Desires

Desires

A Poem by Kyle Walker

The vain of our existence
Is plagued by the pain of our desires
Abstain from champagne and cocaine
Because these delicacies
That we acquire
Will become mundane,

Prior to our affiliation
With these useless objects
That may as well be amerced in fire
To disengage & Disdain
To have harmony with self not rage
Is something I hope that all will admire,

For such like desires to never
Be the bane of our existence again.
