Darkness In The Light (Chapter One* )

The coldness in the corner of the room made me shiver. It sent a tingle down my spine. I felt like I could just reach my hand out, and I'd feel a coolness rub against the palm of it, lace strings of an ice cold touch in between my fingers and grasp it. And though I'd feel the coolness of something against my hand, there wouldn't anything there. But I'd still know it was her.

 

Even though I can feel her presence, I still wish I could feel her touch. Her warm touch. Her live touch. And his too.

 

I'm Katie Jocelyn Peters. I'm 14 years old. My parents and my older brother died in a car wreck on Decemeber 24th, 2006 when I was only 7 years old. Since that day I've been living with my best friend Danny and his mother Teresa.
