Rats

Rats

A Poem by K.A. Wealand

Rats aren't meant for the rain,

They don't have any assets,

Like bitter coffee or chokes.

I'm well aware that I do.

Nonetheless - i'm not meant,

For your detached retorts,

Or being ignored.

And I really don't think,

Another ashen crater in my hand,

Is in order.
