Kyle... What do you mean in our image? The first thing that comes into my mind is that the Christian religion believes that humans were created in the image and likeness of God. So... How does evolve and image come into play? I think I'm missing something here...... OR, do you mean image in that humanity is ruling animals and now we are the one being ruled?

Apologize up front if I am off base.... love the style a lot and frankly its pretty neat.

I definitely did want to invoke religious imagery.
I agree that it would make more sense to say "rule in our stead".
But I really do want to keep the religious imagery, I thought that I could use the word 'image' as the image and form of our society and body shape.

Got it.... Did humanity play a part at all in your overall story? Was there some sort of event that allowed animals to quickly evolve? Was that caused by humans? I ask this because I naturally link a CREATED being with the item that the image is on.

BUT, I'm not reading as well as I should because you answered it in the last paragraph above. I see, societal make-up...make sense. That does require me as a religious person to look at the word image a bit differently.....

I'll say that the scars of humanity and the reason we died out as a species still haunts the current inhabitants. Maybe it's nuclear war making the surface uninhabitable, etc... I choose to leave that up to interpretation to the reader while dropping little hints here and where.
Because as a species we have so many flaws that when someone hears about our demise almost each person will have a different theory for why we are going to die out.

I like the idea. It's hard to tell exactly where you are going with this due to the shortness of it, but I'm definitely interested!

This so far sounds really good. I usually write romance novels but, I would like to keep reading this. It sounds as though it might be intriguing. I am not sure what a Triumvirate is you might could explain that in your notes.

Sure thing! But it actually becomes pretty apparent as you read the actual novel.
It's the name for a leadership comprised of three people.
