Summer Sunrise

Summer Sunrise

A Poem by Kyle
"

It's the middle of winter here with temperatures in the negatives, and while I normally like the cold, this night's thoughts were on a warm summer day.

"

A summer sunrise is a sight to behold

As the sun rises to turn away the cold

The oranges and reds take over the blacks

Pushing them away till night to come back

Warmth enveloping the world you see

A friendly hug, a smile from it to me

The birds awaken to begin their songs

I know this instance will not last so long

But this is a moment for me to behold

As the sun rises and turns away the cold
