Green Tea with a dash of sugar

Green Tea with a dash of sugar

A Poem by Toumei
"

If you've ever drank real green tea and are not used to it, maybe you'll get this...

"
Cool words and bitter drink
administered.
I could only taste the bitter
But, you said it's supposed to be this way
Bitter, is good.
But, bitter, is bad.
At my core, I am pure sweet, born and raised
So to tell me bitter is good is a lie!
But, I put on a smile and drink your insulting truth.
As the days pass on, the bitter goes away.

I don't taste the good yet.
Worse yet, everything tastes too sweet!
But, I just drank my sweet the other day, it was OK
Now, too sweet?

And now, the bitter foods, they do not taste bad.

But not great.

I rush to tell you the horrifying news.
I could swear I glanced a genuine smile,
In an instant it was gone.

I am, the unloved. The forsaken, forgotten. I am, the hopeful. The dreamer, stoic. I have been given no reason to want, to hope to love to forgive to aspire for And yet, I still remai.. more..
