When the lights go out

When the lights go out

A Poem by Toumei
"

Normalcy is a matter of perspective. Some strive for it, some strive for recognition by rejecting it, some just dont give a f**k. What? I'm supposed to describe this?

"

After the laughter has faded

Closed all windows for privacy

I lie on the floor, knees drawn slightly

My body groaning from this heavy weight

Closing my eyes, for a second

Wishing real was reversible

Time static and safe

Maybe if I breathe out all the way

My heart will rest

Disappointing breath drawn to a sputtering heart

This is destiny

This is my fate, accepted

Friends unable to shield me from suffering I inflict

This decision

This delusion

It was never a choice

I enjoyed this. The way I interpret it is as your "world weight" and the realization if it while alone. Though I might be off in my interpretation...
This flows well, screams honesty, and it was good. That sums it up in a short splurge.

I am, the unloved. The forsaken, forgotten. I am, the hopeful. The dreamer, stoic. I have been given no reason to want, to hope to love to forgive to aspire for And yet, I still remai.. more..
