It's a jokeA Poem by Kwiksie IfedioraThe lies are in disguise.
That's what it must be titled-
A joke. But it's rather unique this one, And indeed most unconventional. For no lighthearted souls lie in it's wake; Makes you wonder from whence it originated. Instead of the sense of well-being it is oft synonymous with This strange one belts out broken chord after broken chord Of they who choose to dance to its possessive tune As they carry its yoke. It's such a joke, really. This curse we have christened blessing In attempt to deceive the world that The horizontal crack on our faces Pretending to depict happiness, Is not entirely indebted to our skillfulness in acting. Advertising vast ignorance, Inhaling deceit. Aware that something essential is missing- Yet refusing to search for it. It is a joke I tell you. One most baffling And simultaneously depressing. They claim to be amused But all their joy is draining. Your entertainer is a fake Though you should seldom catch his tall tales staggering. If it's such a funny joke, Why then is your heart weeping? © 2013 Kwiksie IfedioraAuthor's Note
