God in a hot afternoon

A Poem by poddar kushal

God in a hot afternoon

============================================

Sun is leaping over the cracked fence.

Light feet of sunlight

Wakes a sick horse chomping a mouthful.

Sun, quite full of youth…

The horse looks up and returns to food.

To a lean belly

Grass is god and love, life is chomping.

Young sun trespasses

To a stretch of land of green twilight

Where he shall meet moon.

To a searing life, moonshine is god.

I believe that, in spite of the language barrier, and perhaps because of this barrier, your poetic imagery is absolutely fascinating. I'll grant that I have to do a couple of read-throughs before understanding the true meanings of your poems, but each time it's like noticing something new and beautiful on a repeated walk through a park.

God is found in everything...according to your poem here. The imagery is very nice, and indeed warrants fascination. I am not well versed in your work, but now will have to do some more reading of your work, because this is simple and beautiful.

Meaningful and simply... Nice...
Yet to speak, if you got more deep words... it would be better... i guess...
But its nice...
And it made me construct some images...

Good Jop,
Keep up the good stuff...

"God in a hot afternoon". What a wonderful heading for this poem you have chosen to write. This poem seems to glorify God in all his glory and humans and animals and the food of love and need. The imagery shows the power of these needs of survival. I could go on my friend and do not wish to bore you. smiles. Again I loved this too.xxx

An imagery filled romp. I could feel the wonder of the sunrising and then its heat needing to feel the coolness of the moon. Good write.

Striking workmanship

'Life is chomping' is the line for me. I was actually chomping a large prawn as I read this. Life is a monster of insintcts and drives. It is terrible bad luck that we are not the sick horse but end up with the intelligence to see what awaits it and ourselves. Consciousness is a terrible curse. What a terrible thing it is to know how things will turn out for us. Yes, life is chomping alright. And drives us to fall in love and make whoopee that it, selfish life, might continue chomping.

Inspired thoughts. The beauty of your imagery really sets this piece off. Joseph Campbell once told us to follow the bliss until we find the Divine. I believe that fully. Really fine work.
