A Poem by poddar kushal

Seaside lore

She strolled down to sea at dead night.

That was the last of her seen, yet.

Legends roamed there and giggled with

Pebbles. Whispers of darkness were

So soft.

Smokes of poor men’s fire rose from slams.

Wet nets of fishermen glisten

Dripping mature sadness on sand.

Lights and shades play with a lame dog.

So soft.

This poem really is very evokative. I can just picture the entire scene! For me that's the most important quality poetry should have.
Because of the sea shore, it also made me reflect on the Natalee Holloway case ... so sad, like the sadness I feel reading this poem, but for an entirely different reason of course.
Very strong imagenary! A joy to read!
