At that moment

At that moment

A Poem by poddar kushal

At that moment

( to archangelgabriel )

A clear sky imitating

The playground from green years,

Soft sounds of dropping weapons,

The herds and soldiers are breathing

Hard. Their zombied hands quiver.

The wrath of angel is falling down.

The floating white of his profuse

Roab brightens the blue sky.

Down on the earth at a corner

A hungry cougar with its eyes

So sad to be captive there,

Its tail pulsing in old habit.

All these fades out, at a small tweak.

Only dark light whispers in ears

Of ethereal eternity.

as always i do like this writing. my favorite line is ... their zombied hands quivered ... sometimes what we do can become so disjointed from who we are that they numbly committ acts that our brains would have long ago vetoed. as a species, we grow tired of the constant battles ... not necessarily those of blatant war, but the everyday skirmishes fed by prejudice and ignorance. no wonder the angels are sad and remind us that we will all disappear in a wink of time. this is a message we need to read and heed.

Good imagery, good flow, good composition.

Sometimes there is no need to search for meanings in poems, sometimes it is what it is and nothing more.

To me - this just is..................

I like the metaphors. They seem to flow more freely now. Nicely done!

"A clear sky imitating

The playground from green years,"
grabs the attention quickly. very dark and dripping with intensity.
