Torn pages

Torn pages from daily dreams and diaries.

They are all scattered on the blue carpet.

Pick up a piece and wet your palm

The color of blue digs deep roots within.

A Sunday is emptied out of an old box

A treasure and a ghost roam and their sighs

You can’t wipe, can’t wipe, from your fogging eyes.

Time lays loose and you shut in the old box.

I feel for your persona - so much sadness as his dreams have been quashed away along with those torn old pages, their befeft sighs from within ... but new treasures have to be acquired now. ... I escaped into your words for a brief moment - stillness felt. Best wishes, Pammy.

This is awesome. There a haunting tone to this that is amazing. "Time lays loose and you shut in the old box." Excellent imagery in this poem! :D

I really like the tone of this! Some lovely lines in there.... 'A treasure and a ghost roam and their sighs'. 'Sighs' gives it this hush ending. In fact, rereading it, the whole second stanza is a joy!

Quality write :)
