A Poem by poddar kushal

First language

“My first language is poetry
 Second is English.”
He spoke. His mind was somewhere else.
A window with shines,
A shine showing green sycamores.
His interviewer,
Asking about his home and hearth
Looked at his subject.
The poet and a man looking
At the distant void.

Questions failed to be translated
To the poet’s language.

I'm soooo disorientated with poems that drew my to read gone.. I think I have been here before though.
I like this, it has a more gentle play on the loss of words, words that mean so much but to get them on paper and to say exactly what the poet wants to say, thats soooo hard to pull it out of that distant void at times, though the void is hardly empty, quite the opposite really, I think thats what makes it sooo hard.
Anywho I like this =)

There is a gentle sweetness to this piece but it never crosses the line to saccharine. You give this man dignity and I understand his plight. I think for many of us this is exactly how it is. Most people just don't get us. It really is as if we are speaking a different language. There have been so many in my life who have thought I was weird or different simply because I look at the world in a deeper way than they do or express myself differently. It's a shame that most don't appreciate or wish to learn our poetic language. Gorgeous poem...loved it.

I believe the void so to speak is full of everything the poet seeks - not a void at all but truly the holding of all...A great, succinct write. Thanks for sharing.

such a sweet piece and very short it is true though that those of the non writing persuasion can not understand the poet or story writer's world. Great job
