Fever! Fever!

Fever! Fever!

A Poem by poddar kushal

Fever! Fever!

Came down upon his fore head

   The wings of virus

         Fever! Fever!

It came as an angel with destroyed wings

At the middle of the night.

Settled and set a colony

                Of desperate invaders.

Fever! Fever!

Dial the doc.

“Yes sir. Fahrenheit 103.5

Analgesic? Power 400?”

The alien flower

In a pink pot

Bloomed to a full golden ash.

His memory showed he had been sad

When was that? In another life?

Fever! Fever!

She mopped his head

With flavored mint water

Still it spread.

He never felt the pain

Soft green scraped his eyes

Closed as they were.

Are you listening to me?

_ she asked him.
