Hello and Goodbye

Hello and Goodbye

A Poem by Kurt Gargis

Hello and Goodbye

Hello, my Friends
Welcome here, all of you.
Each of you with your own trends,
And some of you not even knowing another two.

I bring you here to say "Goodbye".
You all are ready for this.
Now, I'm not going to lie,
And say this is amiss.

You've been a part of my trip.
You each have a part of me.
Now, don't even pretend to tremble a lip.
We all knew this won't affect what you see.

You've been picked up.
I believe I'm still on the ground.
Now, now...Shut up!
This is the truth, I've found.

Since you all have a part of me,
I leave you all with my will:
F**k off, and let it be.
Of needless angst you've had your fill.

Don't look for me, as if you would.
But to be safe, don't try for me.
You couldn't find me in the city or wood,
For this farewell is the death of me.
