My Faded Voice-Song!

My Faded Voice-Song!

A Poem by Kurt Gargis
"

This isn't a poem, but a song I wrote about 4 years ago.

"

"My Faded Voice"

You put me right there on the spot
I had the words, just no voice.
Too many things, just in the way,
And when I found what I needed,
I was oh so late.

(Chorus)
How sorry I am that my voice faded,
That I couldn't say what I needed.
Throwing caution to the wind,
Making you the only one in my world,
I will say what I want to say.
Nothing can stop me now.

We've tried being just good friends,
Yet I am tempted, again and again.
Always watching...Helping out...
Cause I was only your friend.

You know I'm always there for anything,
I'll go with you, through the halls of heaven and the pits of hell,
If only to see you anew.
Heres my number, gimme a call.
For all your needs, any at all.

If you would ever need a shoulder to cry on,
I'll be there for you, once they're gone.
I don't want you to ever, ever lose hope.
Cause Lord knows, I sure as hell won't.

(Chorus)
How sorry I am that my voice faded,
That I couldn't say what I needed.
Throwing caution to the wind,
Making you the only one in my world,
I will say what I want to say.
Nothing can stop me now.

I feel so much for you,
But if you just need a friend,
With that fact I can deal.
Just lemme remind you...
My love for you will never end.

(Chorus)
How sorry I am that my voice faded,
That I couldn't say what I needed.
Throwing caution to the wind,
Making you the only one in my world,
I will say what I want to say.
Nothing can stop me now.
