Goodbye

Goodbye

A Poem by Kurt Gargis
"

Not one of my better works, but like most of my poetry, it was needed to be unleashed.

"

Goodbye

I should have done it.
But I never did.
Tears come in a fit,
Because I bid
Goodbye...

Maybe it would have been good,
Laying with each other, sleeping as the dead.
Or maybe it was all misunderstood.
Who can say? What can be said?
Goodbye...

I act as if all is well.
I turn my back to you.
My depression I quell.
I say, instead of, "I love you,"
"Goodbye..."
