The Inferno

The Inferno

The Inferno

This inferno blazes...
Sears the flesh and eyes...
My mind, it razes.
It severs the ties.

My persona melts
But I am unharmed.
The fire touches Me not.
How long 'til I'm alarmed?

Still I burn.
Still I feel not.
But yet I yearn
For Myself to rot.

The outside, it's gone.
Consumed by the flames...
Now I'm all alone
I am now who the fire blames.

Now I feel Pain.
Sweet, rebirthing Pain.
Inferno! Sunder me like the Phoenix!
Raze Me! I welcome these licks!

The fire's gone...
I'm still here, half-done.
I walk on, my forging undone.
God's Fire, Lucifer's Fire, someone else's fire...

I DON'T CARE!

I'm here to be forged.

I am not sure why, but this part really spoke to me.
Your writing is quite impeccable.
