An old poem I just found on my computer. I don't actually remember how I wrote it, but I hope that you will like it.

Day after day,
I sit in my room and say
'How much I miss You in my life!'
A chord ended in strife...

The hours go by me
Remembering the moments that we
Had together day after day...
That now seem so far away.

Every day and night
I miss You in my sight!
Where are You now?
Running away in the snow,
Leaving me alone behind
Walking the world all blind...

A special day comes to me...
All alone I spend it...
Wishing You were here with me...
I love You, I admit...

Fight after fight
Sitting in silence at the candlelight...
I miss You in my life,
Not just a chord, cut with a knife!

Every day and night
I miss You in my sight!
Where are You now?
Running away in the snow,
Leaving me alone behind
Walking the world all blind...

The sun shines on the sky
Every day with no worries.
Like heroes in kids stories...
To the sky You fly away.

Why can't You stay by my side?
And run away from me to hide...

I miss the moments when You
Hold me in Your arms
When I really needed You,
Right after the big storms.

Walking down the empty streets
I see all turning gray.
Places where Happiness meets
Us, now in silence they stay...

Where are You now?
Running away in the snow,
Leaving me alone behind
Walking the world all blind...

A walk in the park

Won't be the same...

Passing the trees without a name...
Losing life...like a flame's spark...

This is something that a lot of people relate to. I hate feeling like this and hope to never have to feel this way again now that I'm married. This sounds like it would make a great song. You mentioned it being an old piece of work. I can tell by reading your newer pieces that you have improved quite a bit.

:) The capitalization of You makes such a great impact, even though it's a very simple change. I love the repeating stanzas, and the line, "Walking the world all blind..." It's like the person helped you see, and I kind of saw it too in the line, "I see all turning gray." Touching :')
