Poets Lament

Poets Lament

A Poem by KurKota
"

The poets frustration..

"
I see no words on the white space
Staring back to mock my thoughts,
My mind at once a whirl
But as frozen nothingness in place.

I feel the burn of things to express
But the thoughts ramble to and fro
As butterflies in the wind
Upon my forehead, I so hard do press.

Why indeed do I trouble with the task
Of attempting on this page to write
When so many thoughts at once
Seem to swirl as water in a flask.

But suddenly indeed, the mind conform
Into a bursting flower of light
And with force the words do strike
With hand, and quickly the words take form.

The mind as a sieve catches thoughts with substance. There is no stopping inspiration and creativity.

As fair a description of writer's block as any I've seen of late...
