Kuperu Sonnet

Kuperu Sonnet

A Poem by James Cooper T.
"

This is my very first sonnet in copping up a broken heart that I felt after having been ignored multiple times by the one I admired.

"
Tis this lady that named Rhena I fond
a pretty yellow flower in the garden
A graceful Swan who's in the pond
And smiles with smile like sun o' shining

So, near supposed she is in midst across the sea
I long to row a boat to make me cross
and see if she is near as I supposed she be
Indeed! as I supposed, and stand with open jaws

Until I woke upon a dream away from bed
that this o' heart of mine had chased upon a wind
like a cat you wish to pet and touch its head
ignored and ran and saw me as a fiend.

O romance is a funny thing to get and chase after
so distant I may be, but I'll take Oath in loving her.
