Zoh in the Ma'i

Zoh in the Ma'i

A Poem by James Cooper T.
"

Zoh in the Ma'i introduces a few perspective and general point on personal experience of education during the pandemic. Zoh means Education. Ma'i means the Philippines. Jand means Virus/Pandemic.

"

I

Allow me to rename education to Zoh,

and the country "Philippines" to Ma’i.

Then Zoh rhymes with how you make your teeth gnaw,

while Ma’i is read as “ma” and ‘e’ in “me”.

Now this poem is titled Zoh in the Ma’i,

because I’m such a speech couch potato.

II

Zoh mirrors the life of a person,

That makes the life of it goes on.

Zoh is like water, soil and air-"

And some defines as flowing river.

Libraries are good sources of Zoh.

And in Ma’i there’s a few.

III

Let us change the name virus with jand.

Same as how you pronounce the word band.

So jand is found throughout Ma’i Land,

and Zoh got hurt on the other hand.

The chief almost stopped Zoh’s fund,

Due to jand polls over thousand.

IV

Now as you follow along, Zoh hangs

Yet youth are trying hard to cling.

To what Zoh’s fundamentals bring,

She has promised degree honoring.

Now Zoh evolved to less face to face,

To cope up life’s next emerging phase.

V

Youth struggle left and right for wireless,

I hope this isn’t mostly disgrace.

Some Zoh assigned with online module.

Some Zoh assigned with offline module.

Zoh’s college is super challenging

with her honest and dishonest youth.

VI

But now Zoh in the Ma’i we embrace.

A gift of her at least she’s there we chase.

Is this convenient? ‘Cause what I have seen,

The task of Zoh’s young youth - parents are answering.

Zoh is significant for Ma’i winning jand,

However jand in Ma’i challenges Zoh’s chant.

VII

To sum this up as we speak

Zoh is still there day and night.

Though tomorrow is mystery

Zoh still teaches left and right.

Zoh in the Ma’i continues

Despite jand’s everlasting fright.
