Keep Walking

12/3/2012. This was written as a song, but it's a poem also.

I’m just a broken man

Who wanders these streets

I’m just a hurting boy

With no where to be

I’m just a lonely child

With nothing but hope left in me

So I wander

I wander these streets

 

I’ll walk until I find thee

I’ll walk

I’ll walk until I know peace

 

You’ll find

You’ll find me on these streets

 

The cracks in the cement

They portray my heart

Broken

I am shattered

 

With my feet

I can follow

I can lead

I can find

I can leave

I move forward

With my feet

I can search

 

I’ll walk

I’ll walk until I find thee

I’ll walk

I’ll walk until I know peace

 

The only thing on this earth

That I’ve learned to trust

Is my feet

So I will use them

And keep walking

 

One of these days

I’ll trust more

I’ll trust something new

But I’m not strong enough yet

Someday the light will shine through

Someday love will make me new

 

But until then

 

I’ll walk

I’ll walk until I find thee

I’ll walk

I’ll walk until I know peace

I don't really know what to say other then that this is yet another FANTASTIC poem! So much meaning, hope, kind of lovely but a bit sad. :)
