Currents

an extended metaphor i wrote last year, i was bored at the time.

In the ocean, there are currents,

they help the ocean and the life in them, but a current can also be a person at land.

People consider them dark and evil,

but all they want are friends.

They hide their tears,

their pain so no one can see them as weak.

Currents look calm,

but inside, they're violent with saddness and rage.

Because of this, currents have very few friends,

but a person who accepts a current for who they are wins a true friend.

One who'll never betray them in order to become popular,

or leaving them when they need them the most.

A current is loyal, kind, honest,

they will respect you for who you are,

and they will never try to hurt you on purpose.

Currents are everywhere,

from the sea to the heavens.

How do I know so much about currents?

Well......lets just say that I'm a current..............

This was a great poem, but I think it should be more arranged, and cut some parts out to make it flow better, but otherwise, great poem!

Everyone needs a friend who will be there all the time for them, and also always be strong for them:) I like how you looked at currents. It's really creative. Well done:)
