Torn shirtA Poem by The fallen of innocenceThis poem was inspired by a shirt I tore in anger and frustration when I felt like i couldn't do a thing about my life. Poetry can save u, as it saved me.You found me, but what am I? I'm the shirt she tore up, just before she took her life. Like her, I looked perfect, all but a tear in me she ignored it, like the others did to her feelings. Bit by bit, it got bigger like the sorrow in her heart. One day, after school, after the lashes of their ignorance, the back of me tore up. In fury, she ripped me apart, "til i was bits of fabric. the next day, she faked sick, and when her parents left........ she hung herself. Now the teasing is gone, but ignorance is still left in the others hearts, the ignorance that killed her. They now wonder what was wrong with her, she seemed so happy.... They're scum for not noticing her silent cries of mercy and help, for causing this paint to the ones that loved her, and now having the guts to say sorry and feel like victims. Wishing that they could talk to her.... it's too late for that................... You, someone who loved her but didn't have the courage to tell her, now wish she was with you, so you could tell her how much you loved her. You now cry when you see me, wishing you were dead so you could join her in afterlife, for I'm the shirt she wore before she died.......... before she committed suicide.................... © 2011 The fallen of innocenceAuthor's Note
