StrangerA Poem by KumalaThis is a poem I wrote when I was around 15 after my parents got divorced. I never had a close relationship with my dad anyway but the divorce and the fact he worked away didn't help the situation.Stranger.
There is a stranger in the crowd Standing there, looking proud
I am feeling lots of fear Down my cheek runs a tear
I try to wipe it with my hand But in the crowd, he still stands
I stand up tall and be brave As I give him a little wave
Sometimes this stranger drives me mad There’s lots of stuff I have not had
He never has been there for me Even when I really plea
I don’t think he even cares He just stands there and stares
Is it that I’m too bad? He always makes me feel so sad
Next time I’m not going to stay I’m just going to walk away. © 2017 KumalaReviews
